Meet The Daniel's Youth..

The Network That Works

THE DANIELS YOUTH NETWORK is a community of young people; with the aim of impacting the youth in the community of Manchester and the United Kingdom at large. The vision is aimed at continually motivating the young people into creative living and preventing them from falling into drugs, alcohol, smoking, and immorality.

We aim at capacity building, self awareness and career advice coupled with talks from other professionals who offer advice and guidance in educational, financial and personal lifestyle. It provides a safe space where young people can ask honest questions about all facets of life and the open discussion has been invaluable. We approach this by organizing two major programs within the year in addition with monthly online meeting via zoom.

Our activities include:

  1. Bi-annual Conferences: We hold two major conferences in a year. One in summer during which we go for a 3 days summer camp in Quintas, Wales. This yearly camping to Wales gives us ample time for seminars/discussions and networking while still having fun such as sport activities, recreation, camp fire etc. We book seasoned speakers from various walks of life to anchor these sessions. The other major conference is in December, when we hold further career talks, relationship management and other counselling sessions.
  2. Networking: All our meetings are geared towards networking and building a strong community among the youth. We believe that as iron sharpens iron, our youths can sharpen themselves positively and also learn from one another.
  3. Mentoring: We commit to investing in our youth by mentoring them through their questions of life, faith and daily experiences in “one-on-one” or small group settings.
  4. Monthly Meeting: Our online monthly meeting and regular communiqué via our whatsapp group chat helps us to have open discussion on topical issues from time to time.
  5. Empowerment/Skills training: We offer our youth opportunities to learn and acquire skills in musical instruments, singing and short drama.

What Youths Say

testimonials
Bolu Onalaja

The Daniels youth network has helped me in times I have needed support in both my academic and career aspect of my life. It has also provided me with a support group of young people who are similar to me, which has led to great friendship. Overall, I have learnt a great lot from the leaders of the program and I thank them for creating such an open space to ask questions about everything.

The Daniels is a networking group but I see it as a family group that encourages, supports and motivates individuals. The group has helped me in “believing in myself”; that I can do all things if I just believe, also having mentors and friends to share and discuss issues of life without being judged. It’s the family bond for me.

The Daniels has offered me so much from relationship advice to career and academic advice. It  provided a safe space where I and other young people can ask honest questions about all facets of life and the open discussion has been invaluable.

Why We Do
What We Do

Our History

Our organisational purpose is captured under the general theme : The advancement in life of young people.

Our vision is to facilitate advancement in life of young people by providing advice and assistance and organise programmes of physical, educational and other activities so as to develop skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.

We approach this by organising two programmes within the year. We had the first one in December 2013, with over 40 youths in attendance and the second in July 2014 with more than 60 youths attending the open evangelism outreach at Manchester Piccadilly, UK.

One of our partners, Galvin Leigh, a former drug addict (now free), is always on ground to share his personal/life changing testimony and encourage youths; coupled with other professionals who offer advice and guidance in educational, financial and personal lifestyle.

Our activities include:

  • Bi-annual Conferences: We hold two major conferences in a year. One in summer during which we go for a 3 days summer camp in Quintas, Wales. • Empowerment/Skills training: We offer our youth opportunities to learn and acquire skills in musical instruments, singing and short drama.

For 2024 Summer Camp meeting, the actual cost per head for each delegate has been estimated to be around £100 which includes transportation from Manchester to Wales, accommodation and feeding. This is subsidies for the youth at £50 per delegate; in order to encourage their full participation.

We therefore solicit your generous financial support in running this program as we trust God to impact more lives. Donations can be received in any denomination and form. If issuing cash, kindly issue in favor of The Daniels Youth Network.
Thank you and God bless you richly.
